Modesta joined Apps and Girls at age 15 while studying at Kisutu Girls Secondary School. She launched Our Cries, a web platform enabling students to report harassment on public transit, which later evolved into Our Voices Against Harassment (OVAH).

Impact: Through OVAH, Modesta has employed over 5 people and impacted more than 7,000 students across Tanzania. She also served as an Alumni Engagement Officer at Apps and Girls and mentored young girls in launching tech ventures.

Balbina joined Apps and Girls during her A-Level studies and launched Huduma Smart, a digital platform connecting domestic workers with fair employment opportunities.

Impact: Huduma Smart has empowered over 140 domestic workers and employed more than 100 workers across Tanzania.

Beldi joined Apps and Girls at age 13 and later represented Tanzania in the First Global Robotics Competition. She founded Agrodefy to help farmers address yield fluctuations using smart technology.

Impact: Agrodefy’s Agrodefier device analyzes soil moisture and pH, providing farmers with real-time insights via mobile technology.
